Hello you all,
I'm pleased as punch to tell you that the pilgrims' data for last month is
already available in the Archdiocese's website. Just go to:
                                     www.archicompostela.org
press on the multicolored shell and on the page that comes up press on the
flag of Spain. Apparently the data have not been translated into English yet,
but I think it's understandable enough, particularly the section referring to
the countries of origin of the pilgrims........(More from Canada than from the
USA)
If there's something you'd like to have translated I'll be glad to do it; in
a couple of months, I think, the data will be posted in all five languages
simultaneously.

In another subject, the book about medical advice on the Caiman is a
paperback that sells for about 6 Euros; it would seem then, that the authors didn't do
it for the money. A US physician told me that the advice is priceless.
Realistically speaking, though, who is going to carry an extra book? Perhaps
there is a way to post some of the advice, and the drawings, in a manner that
pilgrims may carry them without too much trouble, or may have access to them.
I'll ask the people in the Pilgrims' Office; and , surely, our own techie maven,
David, will know how, and whether, such a thing can be done.

Also, I learned that the design firm that authored the selected new Xacobean
symbol did not, and will not, receive any compensation. The efforts of all the
participants were volunteered.
(Would that they had paid someone to do it..... the end result might have
been less strange).
Warm regards,
Rosina
