VIGILS FOR PILGRIMS IN THE CATHEDRAL OF SANTIAGO    Santiago, 20 of 2006

The delegation of Peregrinations of our Archdiocese will start on Saturday
the 22 of July traditional Vigils of the Dusk in the Cathedral at 21.00h and
directed exclusively for pilgrims that devoteely arrive in Santiago to visit
the tomb of the Apostle.
In the Codex Calixtinus these Watches of the Dusk are already mentioned but
disappeared during the time of decay of the peregrination.    This year the
Delegation of Peregrinations wants to relaunch them as moment of encounter
and oration of the pilgrims that arrive at the city of the Apostle. They
will begin this Saturday 22 of July and every Saturday until end of the
month of September of 21.00h to 22.00h.  This religious celebration will be
offered next Monday 24 July also a Vigil  the Cathedral will be offered at
21.00h like preparation to the Solemnity of the Santiago Apostle.    FOR
