Dear Daniel
  I asked around (seeing as I am just incidentally here on the Via itself today!) and they tell me that´s perhaps the ideal time to go, esp. the southern part, that is almost undoable in midsummer because of the heat. 
   
  Spring and Fall, that´s when they see the most traffic, and the flowers bloom, and you may get wet but it´s not so bad. 
   
  I say go for it!
