[Gocamino] a personal story

Supernatural angels might be too small a miracle for
the mind of God. Instead the miracle is
accomplished
with ordinary people, as observed long ago by somebody
whose image is everywhere on the Camino:

Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands
but yours, no feet but yours; yours are the eyes
through which to look at Christ's compassion to the
world, yours are the feet with which he is to go
about
doing good, and yours are the hands with which he is
 to bless us now.

                 - Santa Teresa

And so these angelic works are being done all around
us by ordinary people; they are just more visible
more often on the Camino, perhaps because we are
more vulnerable to perceiving them.

[And elsewhere: the many benefactors of the
Pacific Crest Trail's secular pilgrims are
collectively called "trail angels." Most are
unaware of just how old a tradition they have
unconsciously stepped into.]
