Hello you all,
A long-expected new albergue on the way to Way to Roncesvalles from SJPP  opened yesterday. The albergue is called ORISSON and is located 2.5 kms. from Huntto on the way to Roncesvalles which is 7.5 kms. away. The albergue includes comfortable and well cared-for furnishings and amenities which include  facilities for horses to assist riding pilgrims on their way to, or from Santiago.  The albergue also has a restaurant already reported to be pretty good.
 
Also, the Pamplona authorities have renewed their agreement with the "Religiosas Adoratrices", a nuns' order,to lease the nuns' building to be used as an albergue for another year.  The building, located at  
Dos de MaNo. 4, has facilities for 100 pilgrims which include hot and cold water for showers and laundry and vending machines that dispense hot and cold drinks, bread and other products.
By the way, the cost of the albergue to the Municipal Pamplona authorities will be 34,800 euros for the year ended March 31, 2006. The albergue is quite centrally located in the Casco, right in the "Zona Monumental", which is a welcome difference from the other albergue that is situated pretty much in the outskirts of town and kind of out of the way.
