Hello,
The name of the mother-to-be Princess of Asturias is, of course, Leticia.
And, no, the official expected-birth announcement was not made because of the 
Anglo Saxon celebration of  Mother's Day.
In Latin countries Mother's Day is always celebrated on May the 10th, 
regardless of whatever day of the week the date may fall on,  and, it is, in most, a 
national holiday.
