[Gocamino] 17 year old on solo Camino

If your son is anything like you, he will be just fine. I hitchhiked solo 
across the US when I was 17 and it served to open my eyes to the world 
around me. The Camino is a much more supportive environment than the “long 
lonesome highway”. You have done your nurturing as a mother; now give him 
over to the nurturing of the Road. I can’t think of a better place to become 
grounded. He will be able to have independence, freedom and discovery not 
available any other place. The very fact he wants to go to Santiago speaks 
volumes. You have done your job; send him off Godspeed on his Journey.
