The El Pais Guide is fine, used it and CSJ in 2003. It is reasonably updated
every couple of years, CSJ every year. My main complaint is the cartoon maps
in the El Pais book ... "A Practical Guide For Pilgrims - The Road To
Santiago" still has the best scale maps I've seen.

And now to completely exacerbate the issue...

There is a new guidebook I got in Casa Del Libro in Madrid or Santiago or
someplace. It is: "The Road To Santiago - The Pilgrim's Practical Guide",
also with a set of external maps, also from Everest Publishing. Editor
(author) is Jose Maria Anguita Jaen. It has lots of detailed info, as well
as profiles of elevations, something I base my day's journet on.

Casa Del Libro is on the Web at: http://www.CasaDelLibro.com; they are the
Spanish equivalent of Amazon.

Onward,

Grant
