Brooke, the Linda Davidson book is quite heavy - it's right in front
of me as I write. We cut out about 50% of it and bought a new one when
we returned. It is by far the best historical reference. Davies and
Cole have an excellent guidebook called "Walking the Camino de
Santiago" isbn 097316980x - it is not in color, but its maps are
quite useable. I would take it or the Brierley guide plus the CSJ
guide (which is now purple).
