Hello you all,
The Pilgrims' Museum in Santiago, representing the Galician Cultural Council,
has become an active participant in an International effort to coordinate
information and attention meant for the twenty-million, or so, people who
undertake Christian pilgrimages to relatively small cities or towns.
Besides Santiago, the towns that will participate in the cooperative effort
will be Altotting in Germany, Czestoch in Poland, Fatima in Portugal, Loreto in
Italy, the island of Patmos in Greece and Lourdes in France.

The Santiago Diocesan Delegation of Pilgrimages will also. participate in
this effort. One of the first objectives of the communal undertaking will be to
analyze the conditions of the sites visited by the pilgrims and insure that
they have facilities for handicapped pilgrims, sufficient medical and
information facilities, and safe and hygienic places where pilgrims may stay.

Outside of Fatima, Lourdes and Loreto I do not know anything about the other
places. Is anyone here familiar with such places and their pilgrimage
attraction?

Regards,

Rosina
