A further clarification on the clarified clarification.

Because of the pervasiveness and omnipotent power of the US media, many
people in Mexico, Central and South America have multi-zone multi-format DVD
players. So, even though they are in DVD Zone 4, their multi-zone
multi-format player will play the easily available and widely distributed
Zone 1 NTSC DVDs. I have friends in France who use a multi-zone,
multi-format player. Some of the DVDs I send them are in NTSC (National
Television Standards Committee), some are in PAL (Phase Alternate Lines).
Now, to exacerbate the condition, NTSC and PAL are not the only television
standards in the world. In fact the French, true to their nature, have a
system all their own: SECAM (SEquential Couleur Avec Memoire). My friends'
player plays them all.

Sooo…
The complete list of TV standards is: NTSC, PAL, PAL-M, SECAM, and ME-SECAM.
The US and Canada are NTSC Zone 1, Mexico is NTSC Zone 4, Argentina is PAL
Zone 4, Colombia is NTSC Zone 4, Brazil is PAL-M Zone 4, Australia is PAL
Zone 4, Spain is PAL Zone 2, and so forth. All these disparate formats and
zones will play on a multi-zone multi-format DVD player. As mentioned there
are players (por ejemplo: http://www.regioncodefreedvd.com/jvc50.html) which
have built-in PAL to NTSC hardware converters tailored for the US and
Canadian market. We the people can therefore play DVDs targeted for the
European, Asian, African, or ANY world market. Just get the proper player.
Then, it’s just put in the disk and watch the bright lights.

I pray this clarification will clarify all previous clarifications and no
further clarifications will be forthcoming. Are we clear?

Claro.
