[Gocamino] Calling cards

I think the phone system in Spain is a mystery. I wonder how many different
phone cards there are. The ones with the pin numbers are more versatile (as
opposed to the computer chip ones)because you can use them in many
albergues. I bought several in Spain over a period of 6 weeks...and they all
had different amount of minutes even though they were 5 Euro cards. I
really never understood it. In Hospital de Órbigo no phone that I found
would take any card at all. I also had problems with them in Ponferrada and
asked the Hospitalara about it. She was German but was in Spain for many
months. She advised always using coins at the Telefonica System pay phones
as the best solution. Beware that not all pay phones are Telefonica ( a pay
phone in Santiago just devoured my money as fast as I could put it in!).
