I second it a million times! I sometimes can't believe
that in all my trips, I was only there twice, for a
few hours. It is the epitome of everything I love
about Spain, and then more.
I remember asking about the building covered in
shells, back in 1981 when I lived in Spain for the
first time. I had already heard of the Camino, in a
history class a few years before. But I had yet yet
associated the shells. What, I wondered, was the
meaning of all those shells .......
The strange thing was, I didn't remember the specific
answer I was given and never knew about the shells
until the late 90s when I finally took to Camino
studies seriously.
Ultreia!
Ana
