Friends of the Road to Santiago and this listserve

Hi Linda,
I, for one, owe you an enormous debt of gratitude. If it had not been for
your magnificent Camino book I doubt very much that I would have become as
impassioned about the Camino..... No way.
But a writer must go on, and on, I suppose, to other literary pastures..
Will you keep us informed about your new books, etc.?
Will you still live in Rhode Island? Will you keep in touch?
I wish you the greatest and most satisfying success in every one of your
endeavors.

Hopefully the "American Pilgrims on the Camino" group from California will
have a list serv. I subscribed for a while to Santiagobis, but did not find it
to my liking. The St. James listserv is, in my opinion, intellectually and
practically informative, as well as quite relevant. But, we American pilgrims
should have a listserv initiated in our continent, methinks.
When the GOCAMINO list serv was down a few months ago, I put together a list
of the many GOCAMINO members who wrote me to ask what was happening. (I
didn't know); later, as Camino related information came my way, I sent it on to
those on the list.
When we find ourselves bereft of the GOCAMINO list (sigh!), and until a new
one is formed somehow, I shall continue to send on Camino information to the
individual addresses that I compiled. Let me know if you'd like me to add
yours.
Meanwhile, someone from the Pilgrims office informed that about 177,000 (One
hundred and Seventy-seven thousand) pilgrims had solicited a Compostela this
year as of last week. Presumably, the detailed information will be available
in a couple of weeks.
Warm regards to all,
and to Linda, a big, big hug! Love ya!
Rosina
