why matamoros, at all

Hi Karen, all.

What about six weeks of introspection, on an ancient trail, thaght might
have been used even before the birth of Christianity?
An what about tourism in one of beautiful regions of Spain? To al lot of
people the Camino starts as a cheap walking vacation.
If it was all about religion, I would have seen more Pilgrims in churches
than I actually did. For example: on my arrival in Roncesvalles, jam-packed
with tourists and pilgrims, I found a place where it was very quiet, and
where I could be all by myself for a while: in the church, at the statue of
Santiago.
Everybody does his own Camino, and has is own motives.

Ultreya,
Carli Di Bortolo

Good question, Scott. I've a question for you, then, and anyone else who
wants to answer: why, if you aren't a Christian, would you care about the
Santiago Pilgrimage?
