Credencial

What is this I hear about having to get 2 stamps on your credencial each day to receive the Compostela?  Has anyone else heard this?  Is the credencial large enough to handle 2 stamps per day?  Also, what is the difference between the credencial you would get in SJPP or Roncesvalles (or for that matter from an overseas organization)?  Is one considered "more official" or better than another?
