Hi,
I took once-a-week Spanish last winter/spring, January thru May, then
went to walk in Spain in September. My Spanish instructors were from
Chile and Peru. I had absolutely NO trouble with respect to 'dialect'
differences: to the extent that I knew what to say, I was understood
just fine. There are dialects within Spain that do not, for instance,
have the "th" sound - and their speakers have no problems in Northern
Spain.
As long as you have (a) good instructor(s), and enjoy the course,
that is what matters. Go ahead and get as much as you can from the
course - and do not worry!
