Botafumeiro and Mass.

Hello you all,
The Santiago Archdiocese just announced its official timetable commencing
tomorrow:
Everyday there will be two Pilgrim Masses: one at noon and another at 6:00
p.m., and, henceforth, the Botafumeiro will be brought out at each of those
Masses, that is, twice a day until the end of the year.
In addition to the Masses at the chapels that begin at 6:30 a.m., the number
of Masses celebrated at the main altar has been increased: there will be
Masses at 10:00, 12:00, 18:00 and 19:30.  On Sundays and holidays there will be an
additional Mass at 19:30.
In addition to the regular Cathedral personnel, there will be 20 volunteers
scattered about making sure that silence and proper decorum (no moving about)
is observed during services; also, the Portico de Gloria and the Girola will be
fenced off at those times.
That there will be two pilgrims' Masses daily, and one late in the afternoon,
and that both will salute the pilgrims with the Botafumeiro, should make many
pilgrims glad.
It was difficult getting up in the middle of the night to start walking in
order to make it to the Cathedral by noon.
