The Santiago Archdiocese just announced its official timetable commencing tomorrow:<BR>
Everyday there will be two Pilgrim Masses: one at noon and another at 6:00 p.m., and, henceforth, the Botafumeiro will be brought out at each of those Masses, that is, twice a day until the end of the year.<BR>
In addition to the Masses at the chapels that begin at 6:30 a.m., the number of Masses celebrated at the main altar has been increased: there will be Masses at 10:00, 12:00, 18:00 and 19:30. On Sundays and holidays there will be an additional Mass at 19:30.<BR>
In addition to the regular Cathedral personnel, there will be 20 volunteers scattered about making sure that silence and proper decorum (no moving about) is observed during services; also, the Portico de Gloria and the Girola will be fenced off at those times.<BR>
That there will be two pilgrims' Masses daily, and one late in the afternoon, and that both will salute the pilgrims with the Botafumeiro, should make many pilgrims glad. <BR>
It was difficult getting up in the middle of the night to start walking in order to make it to the Cathedral by noon.<BR>
