One other note - the positive review at Amazon is written by the publisher!
Actually, I sent him the negative review to see what response he might have.

I also noticed the many typos and couldn't understand that in a book where
they spent the money for full-color printing.  As noted at Amazon, the
publisher promises a new edition, which does little to help anyone who's
bought the earlier one if it in fact has substantial errors.
