Hi Bob,
You are very likely correct.  The information cites 15 kms. in Madrid, 400 in
Castilla and the final 227 in the Via de la Plata.  It could well be that
after the 15 Madrid kilometers come the 400 Castilla-LaMancha and then the 227 in
Galicia.
Thanks a lot for the correction.
It sounded too good top be true.
Nevertheless, it still seems that through this new route pilgrims can start
out from Madrid right off.
