No pilgrims around Mazarife

I stayed in Mazarife on 3 Sept. last year and although I also found the
refugio basic, it was filled with pilgrims and a wonderful spirit. The
locals too were even more friendly than in most small villages. I count
Mazarife as one of the better stops along the Way, but that is the Camino;
every person experiences are different.
