Hi Glenn,
Go to : www.caminoasantiago.com
hunt around the archives, or past "journals", or whatever and you'll find a
surprisingly good narrative of the part of the Primitive Way in Galicia.
Primitive, in the Spanish contextual sense, means "the first". And, in fact,
that way was the first one.... the one that St. Francis walked. It goes
through the Monasteiro des monxes de Sobrado, which is a place that makes your
heart stop beating.
In Geothe's Faust, the scholar-philosopher Faust promises Mephisto, the
devil, his soul if Mephisto will show him a place, or a delight, that will make
him, Faust, tell time and life: "stop, I want to stay here forever". The
Sobrados monastery is such a place... and it is in the Camino Primitivo.
If you cannot find the narrative in the above site, send an e-mail to its
author (who understands English) to: carlosacaminoasantiago.com I'm
sure he'll forward it to you.
Regards,
Rosina
