An inevitable option: get wet.
I remember one day on my Camino when it started to rain at 11:00 o'clock.
It was not much more than a drizzle, but it didn't stop for the rest of the
day. The first two hours my Gore-tex coat kept the rain from coming in. The
rest of the day it prevented my perspiration to get out. My sock were
designed to transport humidity, and they managed quite well. Outside in,
that is.
I thought my backpack was waterproof but I was mistaken. It didn't leak on
the zippers (which I expected to be the weakest point in that aspect), but
on the seals. Luckily I had packed everything in plastic bags, except for
my sleeping bag en something that once had been a roll of toilet paper.
I slept in a hotel and overnight my sleeping bag had the change to get dry.

Advice: use seam-seal or something like that, or a cover for your backpack,
and wrap everything in plastic bags.

Ultreya, and have a wonderful Camino,
from a rainy Holland,
