Back Country Trail Positions Available

A unique opportunity to explore and learn in the beautiful and ancient southwest!!!

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, a non-profit youth organization located in Taos, New Mexico, is seeking adventuresome-minded folks to form a backcountry crew. The crew will camp and maintain trail in Bandelier National Monument, site of ancient cliff dwellings, eight days at time, followed by six days off.  Overtime pay and AmeriCorps education awards available.  Backcountry experience and willingness to work outside in all weather required.  Crewmembers must be between ages of 17 and 25. Also seeking crewleader to work closely with supervisor. Season: May 10-September 30.

The supervisor position entails leading crew of 7 in the work described above, transporting crew to and from site, completing paperwork, communicating with National Monument staff and program coordinator, and maintaining a sense of humor!
