Actually, Leon is 300 (three hundred) kilometers from Santiago; that is,
three times the distance required to qualify for a Compostela.  The only town in
the area which is exactly 100 kilometers from Santiago is Ferreiros.,
Many pilgrims unwilling to deal with the crowds in Sarria go to PortoMarin by
bus and take a taxi for the 11 kilometers therefrom to Ferreiros.
Happily, there is a very nice pilgrims' bar/restaurant in Ferraris and the
walk therefrom to  Portomarin  is all downnhill and greenery.
