spanish chocolate!

MessageA very important Camino-question!  How does Spanish chocolate compare to some of the world's finest?  I have read that its darker, more bitter tasting. (My personal favorites are german, french, swiss). 

Apparently Hot Coco originated (using lots of spices, peppers, etc.) in Spain - has anyone tried this kind before?
