Hey! What about Ireland?   Here,  we  use the word 'bar' as the everyday
word to describe a drinking house.  Other words such as 'pub' are less often
used.  And in England too, the word 'bar' is somewhat used to refer to a
public house (pub) though not as much as here in Ireland.
