Hello, list.- re sandals

I wanted sandals just for refugio and very close by walking, so looked for
the lightest footwear I could get. What I ended up with was some beach or pool
slippers, I think from Nike (I ripped off the plastic logo). For trail walking
I would get Teva's or the equivalent. However, they are heavy. I was content
to use boots for the trail and long town walks, and my trivial sandals for
refugio.

I never got blisters, but did have most of my toes taped, and sometimes other
parts of my foot, due to hot spots developing. We walked in Sept - Oct so it
wasn't extremely hot.

One more tip for feet. We carried a light plastic totally collapsible
plastic bucket. Every couple of hours, we would take a break by a fountain, take
our boots off, fill the bucket, and soak our feet. Even without the water,
boots off every couple of hours helps.
