I took the train from Madrid to Leon, about 4 hours, nice countryside. It seemed inexpensive, maybe 25 euros or so. There is a renfe ticket office at the airport, I bought my ticket there. The rail service has a good website, URL below. http://www.renfe.es/ingles/index.html Richard
