Santiago riding down the waves

Dear Pieter,

As I was planning my start on the Camino, I heard a variation of your story.
I can't remember where or from whom I heard it but it also involved a
nobleman (of course) but this one rode too close to the edge of a cliff and
fell into the ocean. As he was struggling, St James rose out of the water
on his horse - covered with shells - and carried the nobleman to safety.
According to this story, it was somewhere on the northern coast.

Sorry I can't source it for you but it is interesting that it is
substantially the same story but heard it 3000 miles away from where you
are.
