Just take the camino as it comes. It will present itself in another form you
expected.
As you said experience of one day and one stretch can differ enormously: let
it happen!
To Hontanas:
Miserable day, drank form fountain feeling awful in Refugio
Miserable day, drank from fountain has to be taken to hospital
Tiring day, came from to far, slept for hours and people has to wake me for
dinner
Great day seeing a thunderstorm develop over Burgos and a show-down on
Hontanas
Tiring day had to rest on the stretch under a tree

Awful day came on bike in rushing rain and were refused could only shelter
for the moment

These are records for some pilgrims in Hontanas on the dame day

The Camino is certainly not the Appalachian Trail
