Memorial day

I think the point is that we are celebrating Veteran's day, not Memorial Day
which occurs May 31st. in our country. Nonetheless, it was thoughtful of you
to pass along your good wishes and, as a veteran myself, the sentiment is
appreciated regardless of how it is expressed.
