Transcribing pilgrim diaries

Sorry, guys, that last message was meant to be
private. Falling asleep here in the middle of the
night ..

But actually, it has been immensely satisfying to get
my Camino things organized after more than a year
since I returned. It allows me to relive it mentally
after getting yanked away from it so quickly last
year. Also, details come back.

I've always thought it important to keep daily diaries
of pilgrimage. I had mine mostly on tape because I
record my impressions as I walk. The only thing is, a
lot of times when I'm with others, I don't have the
tape recorder on and then the diary gets skipped.
Still, to hear it afterwards takes you back so quickly
you feel like you just stopped at an albergue for an
extra-long night and you're right back on the Road.
