Le Puy to Santiago via the Col Du Somport

Planning for this fall, request information from anyone who has
knowledge of this route, I  am interested in
    1/ The relative merits of Leaving the Gr 65 at Lectoure and takeing
the Gr de Pays Couer de Gascon to Auch as opposed to leaving the GR65 at
Larreule and walking the roads toPau.  I am partial to the Auch option
but I am open to info.  Are there any "must sees" between Lectoure and
Larreule.
    2/ My maps (IGN 1-25000) indicate the GR 653 dies just beyond
Bedous; is it a "Road walk" from there.
    3/ Information on accomodation etc for the Camino Aragonés to Puente
La Reina.
