Camino in July - Is it too crowded? YES

it really starts to rain in earnest mid-November, as winter kicks in.  I hiked in spring, when I was told to expect plenty of rain, but  and walked through a record-breaking heat wave...perfect blue skies, not a day of rain until Bierzo, and then only one! So you never really know.
