The British Confraternity has good guidebooks, focusing on the practical aspects
of the Camino, I suggest that you start there.

2004 is a Holy Year, so the Camino will be crowded, especially in July and

One good solution to the issue of an open ended return date is to use frequent
flier miles. Usually they allow changing the return date without charge, which I
did. Most tickets that you can buy have a charge for changing the return date.
