Camino passports and Shell symbol

Phil, Passports, shells and a plethora of pilgrimage accoutrements can be
obtained along the route.  Whether they are necessary to the experience(
except for the pilgrim's passport) is an individual choice. Look at the
Camino as a personal exploration  and try to find answers for yourself.

  I had never heard about the shell and badge idea....is it something that
can be obtained along the way? Is it something that is a important to the
