Hello Rozan,

That's a very big question!

Yes, there were things I wasn't aware of when I was there or simply missed:
Gaudi's house in León, Jesus Cato at Villafranca de Bierzo, the church of San Martín in Fromista, the modern templar Tomas Martinez at Manjarin (he had just left for shopping as I arrived), the Pantheon in Najera, the priests garlic-soup in San Juan de Ortega, to mention a few.
It is a good idea to read, like you do, but the camino is so rich in culture, architecture, food and wine, landscapes, interesting people, etc. that it is impossible to see everything.

But instead of being vexed over things missed I think one should appreciate the unexpected gifts along the way:
The local who insists on giving you a tour of his city, the old man who asks you to hug the statue of the apostle in the cathedral of Santiago for him, the big green lizard that crossed your path and disappered into the dry, yellow grass, the priest who stops his car and ask you where you come from so he can pray for you, the white stork that landed a few meters away from you, the hospitalero who knelt before the pilgrims at his refugio and prayed for them and washed their feet, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

So, do your homework, enjoy your praparations, and walk with an open mind and be prepared for the unprepared.
