what to bring on a 'Camino'

The Camino is a pilgrimage, a walk through Spain. It is not a hike or
expedition.

Wear what is comfortable for you. Laundry facilities other than hand
washing (or washboards) are few and far between, so have few clothes, but
clothes that are also easy to wash and dry. Remember, you are a 'pilgrim',
not a tourist who needs their every comfort fulfilled.

Have footwear you can walk in all day. It can either be hiking boots,
walking shoes, or sandals. Just be sure it's what you're comfortable with.

Pilgrims have been walking the 'Road' for over a thousand years. Thieves
have existed in all parts of the world since the dawn of mankind. Like
those pilgrims before you, use your common sense. You are safer walking on
the Camino in Spain than you are walking to anywhere in the US!!!

Open your heart and your mind, and worry a lot less about the body. You
will reach Santiago ALIVE. You will make new friends that will remain in
your memories forever. And you will look on the world with hope.
