Portugese route

How much of the route to the south do you plan to do? The first hundred km,
i.e. to Tuy and Valença, which straddle the border, is a pleasant, relatively
easy one week walk (including a layover day). There are no major climbs and,
except for the outskirts of SdeC, it is well marked, but, of course, the mark
are backwards and will often be hidden to the southbound walker. The towns of
Padrón and Caldas de Reis are particularly interesting, and, to me, the view
of the Ria de Vigo through the pines is the second most beautiful view that I
have seen on three different pilgrimage routes. The city of Pontevedra has a
marvelous new refugio with its own art gallery. On south of Valença there are
several possible alternate routes and only a few sections are well marked.
