post-camino - writing about one's experience of the Camino

Sally and others,

Sally, I answered your other email first, so I have addressed some of your
questions there.

Do you think that such an attempt might interfere with a natural presence
and spontaneous experience from day to day on the pilgrimage?

Not at all. I believe that we create our own reality through the thoughts and
intentions in our minds. Besides, there is a lot of time for natural presence
especially if you walk alone.

When I walked the Camino, I did so with an open body and an open mind. Although
I followed a discipline to reach my destination, it had no impact on spontaneity
or the creative process. In writing this note, I realize the creative process
was initiated with the discipline that began on the Camino.

What other recommendations do you have? I would like to do what you are
doing!

My purpose is to inspire people. I live, breath, eat, sleep, work, write and
walk my purpose. Try to balance a burning passion with a desire to make money
too, or you will starve. When I came home I wanted to share what I had learned
so I wrote and also facilitate a workshop called Creating Presence where I teach
life skills for pilgrims in this world, using my Camino lessons as a base.

Can you recommend any books which encouraged/helped you to get where you
are?

Sally, I have been studying and developing this approach for at least 10 years
but here are just a few of the books I can recommend. I had a book on creative
writing too but I can't find it.

The Bible
Pilgrim Heart, Sarah York
A Sufi way to mindfulness of the essential self
7 Spiritual Laws of Success, Deepack Chopra
Peter Pan
Siddhartha, Herman Hesse
The Dalai Lama's Book of Transformation
Anam Cara
Mind over Water: Lessons on life from the art of rowing, Craig Lambert

Great questions Sally. Hope this helps.
