track to Roncevalles

Dear all.
Dear Dave,

Only the very last section is downhill in slippery grass, but you can take
the road as well downhill !
To avoid all problems take the road not “over the mountain”, but “under” to
Arneguy and then to Roncevalles/
You will miss some spectacular sights, but you walk on the same road as the
trucks and lorries with timber and the cars

The last section in Spain has a footpath with some gravel but that’s not
dangerous

In either case take or buy a walking stick !
