Other Tombs of St. James

When I was in Istanbul in April of 02 ( a week before I started my
pilgrimage) I was told that in the palace and gardens behind Hagia Sophia
there was the head and left hand (preserved in gold) of St James the
Apostle. I didn't have the time to go look for myself but this seemed to be
common knowledge in Istanbul. So..it's interesting that that same hand is
also reported in England. As far as I have read, St James was beheaded and
his hand was taken before his body was set off to sea in a boat ( that
eventually made it's way to the NW of Spain).

I have not really done any research on this, it's just from what I've heard.
But I thought it might add some interesting conversation. Has anyone else
heard/seen this in Istanbul?

Aloha
Jen
