Sopa de ajo

Each family has it's own way of making this "essential soup"

You can either make it with crushed garlic bulbs ( which you remove later,
before serving
and gives a not too Garlic smell and is rather sweet.. or you can use garlic
cloves crushed
and which is more "present" in the sopa. This is the latter version

1 litre of chicken stock ( either really home made, or from tin or cube)
you can add some chicken meat to it if you like to have the sopa more
body
2 teaspoons of garlic crushed out of the crusher
3 teaspoons of paprika powder (mild)
3 teaspoons of cumin
salt and pepper to taste
2 roasted slices of country bread
olive oil or any other you like
6 eggs ( optional)

Preparation:

Add the chicken stock with the garlic and the cumin into casserole, bring to
boil and
taste for salt and pepper to your liking
Grill twp slices of country bread, cut them into chucks and add them to 6
preheated soup
bowls
Fry the eggs and add one fried egg to each bowl and pour the hot sopa over
it into all
