[saintjames] death in the Pyrenees

Last year, in January, a Brazilian pilgrim in his late forties (I think) was
found dead in the Pyrenees apparently after having suffered a fall. About ten
days later a French pilgrim in his seventies was found frozen fairly near by.
Both pilgrims were walking alone and, ironically, both had cellular phones in
their backpacks.
All the details may be found in the list's archives. The pilgrim that was
found dead last month, in the same area, apparently had a preexisting
condition which may have forced him to rest beyond what may have been prudent
and thereby freeze to death.
After the two deaths last year both the French and the Spaniards increased
the facilities for pilgrim assistance throughout the so-called Napoleon route
and environs during the winter; sadly such increased vigilance was not enough
to help last month's deceased pilgrim.
May he rest in peace.
