So there IS a place to stop there, after all! I remembered hearing Germans were working on something there. I went through on foot in 2001, and didn't see anything but ruins and a couple of signs of life here and there... But then, I wasn't looking for anything!  Did you, perchance, go on from Santiago to Finisterre? I'm wondering if that legendary 50K stretch is still there, unrelieved.. Rebekah
