"PLastify" your backpack at he airport

Another idea about protecting packs:
 
I used two square boxes (probably about 18"x18"x18" if not smaller) that I got by asking around in a mall.  I put my pack on it's end inside one of the boxes and then brought the other one down over the top.  I then taped the two together in the middle with duct tape.  
 
When I returned, I didn't put my pack inside of anything and it still made it home safely, but I will look for the option to "plastify" my pack just in case on my next trip.
