Hi Barbara,
I left StJPdP 30 april 2002.
At the acceuil de peregrinos (where you need to go for a reservation for the
Refugio) you can get a discription of the route Napoleon. Also actual
information on the weather is available there.
Leave early, and don't expect to be alone: on the day I arrived I was one of
the 86 pilgrims that signed up at the acceuil, and there are also the
pilgrims that leave from the refugio at Huntto, some 5 km uphill from
StJPdP.

Ultreya,
Carli Di Bortolo

Hi,

I'll be leaving for St.Jean on the tenth of May and
I'll probably walk to Roncevalles the twelfth. Now
I've read some messages that state you shoudn't do the
road across the mountains if you're on your own
because it can be dangerous. I've half made up my mind
to take the road going along the public highway (the
val carlos route).
What's the list's opinion on this?

Thanks
Barbara
