Dear list-readers,

My "lecture" on languages has evoked some comments and questions, like the
following from Rosina Lila and two long ones from Lia Laura Pugliesi. Which
is flattering.
However, these considerations are getting too far "off list". I will reply
directly to those who comment, and not as reples to the list. Anyone
interested in my replies has only to ask me for copies. (I may take some
days to respond, however).
